João Barcellos has been a lawyer since 2016, with experience in Tax Law. 
João has broad experience in tax advisory and tax litigation, advising domestic and foreign clients across a range of business sectors. 

His advisory practice focuses on tax planning and the structuring of business operations, including risk assessment. He has significant experience examining issues related to taxation regimes and tax incentives. 
He is recognized for handling complex tax litigation involving direct and indirect taxes, at the administrative and judicial levels, as well as social security disputes. 
He also works on tax leniency programs and represents clients before government authorities on matters related to tax legislation and regulation. 
João holds an institutional role as a member of the Commission for Institutional Relations with Tax Authorities (CRIOF) of the Rio de Janeiro Bar Association (OAB/RJ). 
He is co-author of a collective work on tax administrative proceedings in the context of the Tax Reform and has spoken at seminars on tax incentives and on the tax liability of partners and officers.
